Irish Garda Siochana Police Metal Figure Wicklow Dublin
Figure is cast in solid metal overall hight is approximately 12cm, base measures 6.2cm by 4cm. The numbers on the side are genuine Garda numbers, white metal type used up to about the 1960s. N district was covered by Garda stations in Bray, Cabinteely, Enniskerry, Greystones, Shankill and Stepaside.

Irish Garda Siochana Obsolete Number and Letter.
Original obsolete Garda numbers worn on the epaulets. Date from the 1950s or 1960s during which time the Dublin Metropolitan Area used the letters A to N and P for Probationary Guard, I was not used. Made of white metal, each letter number measures approximately 20mm high.
F was used in Blackrock, Dalkey, Dun Laoghaire, Kill of the Grange.
G was used in Crumlin and Sundrive.
M was used in Dundrum, Rathfarnham, Tallaght and Terenure.
P was used by Probationary Garda.
Garda United Nations Overseas Patch.
Measures 55mm by 55mm. Worn by Garda serving with the UN on overseas missions.
